Info
Its
on.
The
Lambretta Club of South Australia (LCSA) is proudly organising the 2009
National Scooterist Rally to be held in South Australia 2 - 5 October
2009 over the Labor Day long weekend.
The
event is shaping up to be one of the biggest Vespa and Lambretta events
ever held in Australia and the organisers are
pulling out all the stops to make this one of the most fun.
The
Adelaide rally is open to anyone who owns or has a passion for geared Vespas and
Lambrettas.
If
your scooter obsession is stock standard, fastidiously restored, old and
patina, mildly tuned, obscenely tuned, customised, mod, cut down and
matt black, then be amongst your own from around Australia.
The
rally will kick off in Adelaide with its
cosmopolitan pubs, clubs, music venues and cafes. On Saturday, we leave
Adelaide for the scenic Barossa, the state’s wine capital.
The
LCSA has chosen a route which takes in the Adelaide hills to Tanunda. A
slow meander through the picturesque Adelaide hills chain of ponds to
the world renowned Barossa Valley wine region.
Rally events include:
-
frosty
pints in a variety of pubs;
-
winery
visits;
-
gourmet
food;
-
two
evening do's featuring some of the best sounds you'll hear and dance
to all year played by top scooterist DJ's from SA, WA, NSW and
Queensland;
-
scooter
show and shine (or park and leave for the lazy);
-
scenic
ride outs; and
-
more.
In
order to attend the weekend fun, you’ll need to buy a national rally
bag which contains, rally stickers, full weekend maps and event schedule,
sponsor stickers and freebies plus wrist band for entry to all events.
The
rally bag will be available at the meet and greet on Friday 2 October as
well as the Saturday departure point or buy one now to avoid
disappointment - only $25.
